Keeping Our Employees And Guests Safe During COVID-19

As the trusted venue for special events in Houston, we take the health and safety of our clients and guests seriously and we have a number of protocols in place to help our guests feel secure and protected during their tours as well as their events. 

  • Our venue has been professionally deep cleaned and sanitized.

  • All frequently touched services are regularly disinfected between tour appointments

  • Disinfectant soap is available in all restrooms.

  • Hand sanitizing stations are available at the entrance of the venue.

  • All staff members are required to stay home if they are ill. 

  • Staff members will be wearing masks during each tour appointment. 

  • Staff members are politely declining handshakes at the moment and are practicing proper hand washing techniques before and after tours. 

  • Virtual appointments are available for those who feel more comfortable viewing the venue from their own home.

We would like to mention that although Citadel Houston has always followed rigid cleaning practices we are happy to take enhanced measures to help our clients feel at ease in our venue. In exchange we respectfully request the following measures be considered by our guests:

  • Please consider wearing a mask in public places such as inside our beautiful venue. 

  • Please consider limiting the number of guests that you bring along with you to 4 individuals per appointment. 

  • Please consider staying home if you feel that you may be sick. We would be happy to FaceTime you or reschedule your tour at a later date!

  • Please contact your healthcare provider within 48 hours if illness develops.


  • Markers at bars to indicate 6 feet between guests waiting in line 

  • Valet only upon request, and will follow rules laid out by Gov. Abbott

  • If a buffet is selected, a staff member will serve all food 

  • No condiments left on tables, only upon request and single use servings

  • Tables can be adjusted to seat  6, no more than 10 per table

  • All tables will be spaced 6 feet apart

  • If theater seating is needed then rows will be skipped and 2 seats must be skipped between anyone not from the same household

  • All staff is required to wear masks and gloves, and switching as necessary

  • Hand Sanitizing stations at all entrances and in the restrooms
